July 26, 2008 - Stand Against Torture at the Bughouse Square Debates

Join ACLU of Illinois Senior Field Manager Allie Carter as she attempts to hold on to the Bughouse Square Debates title won last year by Director of Communications Ed Yohnka for the ACLU of Illinois, with a speech on ending torture.

The annual Bughouse Square debates are a celebration of free speech, with soapbox debaters propounding on every topic under the sun and hecklers shouting encouragement and jeers. The debates will be held:

Saturday, July26, from Noon - 4:00 pm
Washington Square Park, 901 N. Clark (across from the Newberry Library)

Allie & the ACLU of Illinois will be there to argue the case for "No Torture. No Exceptions." Come by to support the cause, get information at the ACLU table and participate in the fun.
