November 2007 Archives Regarding Proposed Expulsion of Morton West Students November 07, 2007 The American Civil Liberties Union of Illinois ("ACLU") and the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund ("MALDEF") urge Morton West High School to carefully consider its actions before suspending and in some instances to expelling numerous students for the alleged school disciplinary offenses of cutting class, gathering in a Cafeteria without permission, and disobeying instructions to leave the area and return to class.
