ACLU of Illinois Members Priorities for the 110th Congress -- Tell Us What You Think!
February 22, 2007 09:46 PM
Last Saturday, we hosted the ACLU of Illinois Annual Member Summit -- Act Like a Real Patrtiot -- at the Rosemont Hyatt. You can read more about the event and even listen to podcasts of the program by going to http://www.aclu-il.org/conference/
One of the most interesting sessions involved members of the ACLU of Illinois discussing issues set to come before the 110th Congress and then voting on the issues they thought should be the priority issues to share with the Illinois Congressional Delegation.
The nearly 200 ACLU of Illinois members voted to make Restoration of Habeas Corpus as our highest priority (by a wide margin), with Stopping Torture, Abusive Treatment and Rendition and Protecting Americans Privacy rounding out the top three.
What are your priorities for the new Congress? Leave a comment and let us know.
